Public contracts in Scotland are advertised on Public Contracts Scotland, and public bodies are required to consider how their spending can deliver community benefits and involve supported businesses and the third sector. For a third sector organisation, tendering can open up sustainable income, but it needs capacity: registration on the portal, policies and insurances in place, and the ability to price and deliver a contract.
