Health and Social Care Integration
People, communities and the third sector organisations that support them will be impacted by the integration agenda and the current developments within public sector service planning and delivery, creating both opportunities as well as challenges for the third sector.
Fife Voluntary Action, as the third sector interface, plays an important dual role within the integration agenda:
- Representing the sector, in all its diversity, at Fife’s strategic and local management levels;
- Keeping sector colleagues up to date with policy and planning developments;
How:
- Health and Social Care Forum
- Health and Social Care bulletin
- Website content
- Exchange information regarding relevant developments;
- Collect the views of the third sector in Fife on Health and Social Care issues;
- Grow the sector’s influence on Health and Social Care service delivery; to advocate and campaign, where appropriate, on behalf of the sector;
- Discuss any significant research or fact-finding activity of relevance;
- Enable and facilitate inter-organisational partnership working;
- Identify opportunities, cost efficiencies and sustainable methods of service delivery within the sector;
- Provide opportunities to debate themes and agree collective responses to consultations.
