Every year FVA helps people across Fife turn an idea into an organisation. Some want to run a club or a community project, some to set up a registered charity or a SCIO, others to trade as a social enterprise. The right structure depends on what you want to do, who is involved and where the money will come from, and the choices you make early on are hard to undo later.
This section takes you through the questions to answer first: whether a new organisation is needed at all, which legal structures are available, and the practical steps to take. Our capacity building team can talk through your idea, help you draft a constitution and steer you through registration with OSCR or Companies House.
