When a public body awards a large contract, it can require the contractor to deliver community benefits alongside the work: apprenticeships and jobs, work placements, support for community projects, donations of materials or time, and contracts for local suppliers. In Fife these benefits are matched to needs identified by local organisations.
FVA supports this through our Fife Community Benefits service, where third sector organisations can register the projects and needs that contractors could help with.
