Training and events

Training, forums and events for the committee members, staff and volunteers of third sector organisations in Fife, most of them free.

FVA runs a programme of training and events throughout the year: governance and trustee training, finance for treasurers, health and safety, volunteer management, data protection, and sessions on whatever the sector is asking about. Most are free to third sector organisations operating in Fife; where there is a charge it is shown in the listing.

Lunchtime Learning

Lunchtime Learning sessions are generally held from 12:00 - 13:00. These are short training sessions focusing on quick messaging and short, 'chunky' learning outcomes for participants/learners. They are a chance to catch up on topics integral to the provision of our services.

In the third sector, we are all getting busier and busier and have learned to adapt rapidly to changing circumstances- the COVID-19 crisis has taught us that we are even more resilient, creative and adaptable than we thought. An extra hour here and there spent developing the team no longer seems awkward to most of us, so we hope you will be able to fit these sessions into your hectic schedules.
