Fife Voluntary Action aims to fill this gap by offering high-quality support, informal and formal training, and networking opportunities to those involved in volunteer management in Fife. Our team will work with your organisation as needed to:
- identify and address gaps and barriers to volunteer recruitment in your policies, procedures, working practices and insurances
- craft and advertise high-quality volunteering roles relevant to your needs
- ensure a smooth process for prospective volunteers, and a positive induction experience for those recruited
- adjust roles and working practices, where needed, to involve volunteers with additional support needs
- run any required checks, including PVG and Disclousre
- create ways to support, monitor and evaluate volunteers, and otherwise ensure that they have a fulfilling and mutually beneficial experience
- investigate and address any concerns raised about volunteer conduct
- secure accreditations that show your effectiveness as a volunteer-involving organisation, and recognition of the efforts of your volunteers
Most of our services are free to those organisations operating in Fife.
Volunteer Management Training
We regularly run training to equip both those who are about to become responsible for volunteer recruitment or management for the first time, and those who already have some experience, with the knowledge and skills they need.
The six sessions together provide a strong foundation in the core areas of expertise needed to be an effective volunteer manager.

Meet other people involved in the recruitment and management of volunteers in Fife- to learn from one another's experiences, and to support one another to the do the best job possible.
