They are looking for an experienced social gardener who will work with SSEG, in partnership with Adelphe Connect, to create a climate ready garden.

- Act as the main link with the local community, creating publicity materials when necessary
- Organise community training sessions on sustainable topics like organic growing, permaculture techniques, and climate adaptation methods
- Oversee the installation of rainwater harvesting, sustainable drainage networks, and rain gardens to prevent flooding
- Plan for successional and layered planting using native, drought-tolerant, and heat-resistant crops to support local wildlife
- Integrate willow structures to keep the garden cool during hot weather
The 12-14 hours per week will be structured according to the number and duration of workshops and will require some weekend hours.
