This is an in-person workshop hosted by THRE as part of HRCS' Human Rights Festival 2026, focused on Pulling in the Same Direction: Using Human Rights to Strengthen the Third Sector.

This 2-hour workshop will show you how you could use human rights as a tool to strengthen your advocacy and influencing work, and foster collaboration across the third sector.

It will feature:

  • Examples from across the sector on how third sector organisations have used rights for advocacy
  • Input from special guests, including Charlie McMillan, Director of the Human Rights Consortium Scotland
  • Opportunities to connect and share with like-minded organisations

The aim is for you to come away from this session confident in invoking human rights as part of your advocacy work and inspired to collaborate with other organisations based on shared goals.
