In this session, you can look at how to create a role that maximises the value to those volunteering to advance or begin a career in built, cultural or natural heritage. You will explore what makes a volunteering opportunity a valuable development opportunity, what an ethical and accessible opportunity would look like, and what volunteers with these motivations are looking for.

Join the Volunteer Coordinator of National Museums Scotland, Fiona Boyle, the Community & Learning Officer, Royal Zoological Society Scotland, Iona Byrne, and Curator, Modern & Contemporary History, National Museums Scotland, Mhairi Maxwell, for a short presentation and panel discussion about this increasingly important subject.

This event is suitable for both volunteer organisers and people exploring volunteering as part of their career development.
