Kingdom Support and Care (KSC) provide high quality and personalised support and care for over 300 individuals across Fife and Forth Valley. They work with supported individuals to manage and overcome challenges, including age-related issues, alcohol and drug addictions, autism spectrum disorders, complex needs, homelessness, learning disabilities and mental health issues.

They work with people in their own homes, assisting them to do the things that matter to them and realise their ambitions. KSC believe that great support leads to great lives.

About you

They are looking for compassionate, kind, and invested support workers who are passionate about helping people to live their best lives. If you are resilient, have a can-do approach and a great sense of humour you will be off to a great start with this service. It is more important to us that you have the right values, characteristics, and share their vision of providing excellent support.

KSC require flexibility in your approach to work, and it is essential you can work shifts, which will include alternative weekend working, evenings and sleepovers, with some allocated office time within your rota.

Experience in a Support and Care setting is desirable but not essential.

About the role

In this role you will play a key part in providing support to supported individuals across the Rosyth service. Within the service, KSC support a diverse range of individuals, from children to elderly adults, from 24/7 care to just a few hours of support each week and anything in between.

The children's support provided is activity based for respite whereas most of the adult support is to promote independent living by assisting with everyday activities such as cooking, housework, financials, social activities and as emotional support, assisting with personal care and administering medication.

Whilst the role can be challenging, it offers excellent job satisfaction due to the value of the support you provide. KSC's role is to support and develop these individuals to allow them to live as independently as possible within the community. The service and support provided is person-centered, which is co-produced with individuals ensuring their needs, choices, goals, and aspirations are valued.

The people they support, like us all, can have days where they are not as happy and up for the fun things in life. These are the days when they probably need you the most. Great support knows what to do at any given time, but KSC will always help you with this, so you know how to respond in any given situation.

Staff benefits

KSC offer an attractive salary and benefits package including a contributory pension scheme and generous annual leave entitlement.

  • 32 days' annual leave entitlement (pro rata)
  • An Employee Assistance Programme, including a free counselling service
  • Access to paid SVQ qualifications
  • Discounted gym membership
  • Access to the Vivup employee benefits platform
  • Enhanced family-friendly pay entitlements
  • Generous Pension Scheme
  • PVG applications paid by KSC

Requirements

A current driving licence, business insurance and the use of a car for work purposes is desirable.
