Morrisons Foundation's Connecting Communities grants offer up to £20,000 to charities who provide placed-based services to our entire community or specific groups.
Funding is available to support capital projects that:
- Breathe new life into local spaces: Upgrade and revitalise buildings and outdoor areas.
- Bring people together: Reduce social isolation and foster a strong sense of belonging.
- Secure the future: Ensure vital local services remain open and accessible for generations to come.
They believe thriving communities are built on the strength of their shared infrastructure. From bustling village halls and communal gardens to local schools, hospices, and specialist support services, these spaces serve as the vital cornerstones of connection, resilience, and care.
They want to provide the essential capital needed to transform aging, underutilised, or inaccessible spaces - whether they serve the broad public or offer targeted, specialist facilities for specific groups within the neighbourhood.
By investing up to £20,000 per project, they aim to unlock the potential of these local anchor institutions. Their funding aims to reduce social isolation, fosters a deep sense of belonging, and ensures that the physical spaces at the 'heart' of our communities remain resilient, inclusive, and equipped to serve for generations to come.
