The Forth Green Freeport represents a major opportunity for Fife's economy, creating new employment opportunities and attracting significant investment to the region. Alongside economic growth, the Freeport is committed to delivering long-term benefits through Fair Work, community wealth building, and inclusive access to opportunities for local people.

A key requirement of the Freeport is that employers and investors commit to the Forth Green Freeport Fair Work Charter, helping to ensure that new jobs are fair, accessible and support sustainable economic growth.

For organisations supporting employability, skills development and workforce inclusion, the Freeport presents new opportunities to connect local people with emerging jobs and employers.

Join Sharon Pryde, Skills and Fair Work Manager at the Forth Green Freeport,  who will provide an overview of:

  • The Forth Green Freeport's plans for community and stakeholder engagement
  • The expectations placed on employers and investors through the Fair Work Charter
  • The Forth Green Freeport Skills Fund and how it aims to support workforce development
  • The range of skills and occupations likely to be required across Freeport developments
  • How local organisations can help residents prepare for and access future opportunities
