Did you know that often your Community Pharmacy (community chemist) may be able to help you instead of you needing to visit a GP?
Pharmacists are qualified healthcare professionals and can offer advice and over-the-counter medicines for a range of minor illnesses. They support patients with long term conditions to receive medicines as well as providing a range of other services including vaccinations, stoma services, sexual health services, Urinary Tract Infections to name a few.
There are 87 Community Pharmacies across Fife providing access to a range of services.
Fife Health & Social Care Partnership would like to take this opportunity to find out from yourself as to how easy you find it to access your community pharmacy and what services you are aware of and may have used.
This will help them to
- Understand if there are any unmet needs in the services provided by community pharmacies
- Identify where improvements may be required
- Understand people’s awareness of the services that are offered and how this could be improved so that people can access the right care at the right place
