Most Scottish charities below the audit threshold must have their annual accounts independently examined before they are submitted to OSCR. FVA's finance team carries out independent examinations for small charities, community groups and social enterprises in Fife, for a modest charge that reflects the size of the organisation and the state of its records.
What to expect
- We will ask for your accounts, bank statements, cash book or accounting records, and your governing document.
- We check that the accounts agree with the records and are prepared in the right form for your legal structure.
- You receive a signed independent examiner's report to submit with your accounts.
Please contact us well before your OSCR deadline. If your organisation needs a full audit, or your records need to be brought up to date first, we will tell you at the outset.
