About this service

Fife Council’s Life Chances is an inclusive recruitment approach adopted as part of Fife’s Community Wealth Building strategy. This provides short term paid placements within Fife Council, Public and anchor organisations, and 3rd sector employers. Employers complete a vacancy template to be considered for Life Chances funding. Life Chances opportunities are advertised and people securing a placement are positioned with the employer under the same terms and conditions of other employees. Life Chances workers are supported by a vocational action plan designed to maximise their chances of being offered a post with the employing organisation. Employers and Life Chances workers must work collaboratively with an employability pathway provision as a condition of the funding.
