Crisis support grants

FVA does not itself make emergency grants to individuals, but we can help you find the right door quickly.

• The Scottish Welfare Fund, run by Fife Council, provides crisis grants for essentials such as food and fuel in an emergency, and community care grants to help people set up or stay in their home.
• Citizens Advice and Rights Fife can check whether you are getting everything you are entitled to and help with debt, and can refer you to foodbanks and charitable funds.
• Many charities make small grants for people in particular circumstances, such as former service personnel, people with a particular illness, or those who have worked in a particular trade; an advice agency can search these for you.
