Befriending for refugees

Befriending and community connection for refugees and new Scots in Fife.

A befriender can make the difference between feeling isolated in a new country and feeling part of a community: somebody to practise English with, to show you around, and to introduce you to local groups. Fife Migrants Forum and the resettlement partners run befriending and community connection activities for new Scots, and FVA's Kingdom Companions service is open to any adult in Fife who is isolated.

If you would like to volunteer as a befriender for new Scots, contact us; language skills are welcome but not essential.
