Scotland's Volunteering Action Plan sets out a national ambition for volunteering to be recognised, supported and open to everyone. In Fife, the Volunteer Strategy Group, facilitated by FVA, brings together partners from the public and third sectors to turn that into local action: promoting volunteering, removing barriers for people who need extra support, recognising volunteers, and making sure organisations involve volunteers well.
FVA is the volunteer centre for Fife and a Volunteer Charter champion. Public sector partners that want to develop volunteering in their own services, or to work with the sector on volunteering, should start with the Volunteer Strategy Group.
