About this service

As a Disability Confident Leader, Fife Council’s Supported Employment Service, can provide training on Equality, Diversity, Disability Confidence and Inclusive (EDDI) workplace practices to help businesses meet legislative, economic and moral business commitments. Sessions are tailored to meet the needs of the employer and their workforce; and can be delivered on-site at a time convenient for the business.
Examples of the topics covered in the sessions are:
• Equality Act 2010 and reasonable adjustments
• Disability definitions and terminology
• Specific Disability Awareness: Physical, learning and sensory impairments, poor mental health and neurodivergent conditions

Sessions provide a safe space that encourages staff to air their views, concerns or experiences in an interactive way whilst delivering a clear message about the importance of Equality, Diversity, Disability and Inclusive practices at work. Employers who invest in workforce diversity benefit from the perspectives, ideas and experiences of people from diverse backgrounds, helping create businesses that are resilient, great at problem solving and profitable.
