Befrienders give a few hours a week or fortnight to spend time with somebody who would otherwise be alone: a visit, a walk, a coffee, a trip to a local group. It is one of the most rewarding volunteering roles there is, and no special qualifications are needed.
FVA's Kingdom Companions service recruits volunteer befrienders to support adults across Fife. We provide full training, ongoing support and expenses, and carry out the necessary checks.
