About this opportunity

Become a Volunteer befriender and help reduce loneliness and social isolation across North East Fife. As a befriender, you'll be matched with an older person who would benefit from regular companionship. Whether it's enjoying a cup of tea, having a chat, going for a walk or supporting someone to reconnect with their community, your time can make a lasting difference to someone's wellbeing and confidence. Visits usually take place once a week at a mutually agreed time, allowing you to build a meaningful and supportive friendship. Full training, ongoing support, regular check-ins and volunteer expenses are provided, making this a rewarding opportunity for anyone who enjoys meeting new people and giving something back to their community.
