About this opportunity

Include Me provides a free independent Citizen Advocacy service in North East Fife to vulnerable people aged 16-65 who need help to safeguard their well-being, rights and other interests.

Can you be the difference in someone’s life? Volunteers do not have to have experience of advocacy or come from a Health & Social Care background but should have a strong sense of social justice and a desire to promote inclusion. Our advocates stand alongside their advocacy partner, supporting them to have a voice and be a lead decision maker in their own life. This is an opportunity to champion someone who may be excluded, ignored or isolated and who feels they have no control over what is happening to them. Sometimes, a Citizen Advocate is the only person in a vulnerable adult’s life who is not paid to be there. Citizen Advocates provide support, friendship, a sounding board, information and solidarity.
