About this opportunity

Cupar and district u3a is part of the UK wide u3a network and is one of over 1000 locally run u3as across the UK. Like all u3as, it is a voluntary organisation that provides retired and semi retired people with learning opportunities and social interaction and promotes physical and mental health and wellbeing through a wide range of activities and opportunities.

The organisation is managed by a small executive committee.

The main role of secretary is to take the minutes (decisions only) of a maximum of five meetings annually, and deal with any correspondence. They work closely with the chair and vice chairs from whom they receive support.

This role would suit someone from an admin background with basic IT skills and the ability to summarise discussion where required and to note decisions.
