About this opportunity

The Richmond Fellowship Scotland is a charitable care organisation supporting adults with a wide range of support needs including learning disabilities, physical disabilities and mental health issues. They support people to live full and independent lives in their community.

They are looking for a creative individual for approximately two hours every Wednesday from 5.45pm – 8pm to lead the Art and Craft group attended by approximately ten people. The volunteer will plan art and craft activities for the enthusiastic group, which offers those supported the opportunity to meet others and have fun, leading to some people becoming friends and socialising outwith the group. Care staff are present to support everyone who attends. Previous care experience is not required, just patience and being able to connect with others. Previous activities have included painting, drawing, card making, papier-mache, calendars, masks, seasonal bunting, pompoms and seasonal gift making. A PVG is required for this role.
