About this opportunity

This is an opportunity to enhance the life experience of Young Carers in Fife by 1 to 1 befriending in the community. Fife Young Carers support children and young people ages 0 to 25 who are unpaid carers. These young people look after family members who are ill or have a disability; this can have an impact on the time they have simply to be young, to do the things that children and young people should have the time and opportunity to do. As a volunteer befriender you could be part of the range of support services that Fife Young Carers offers to over 1400 children who perform caring roles in their homes. We need volunteers from all walks of life, ages and experiences but we currently find ourselves needing an increase in positive male role models in the lives of young carers. If you are empathic, outgoing, friendly and have a few hours to spare to make a difference, please contact us for further details. PVG check and training are provided.
