About this opportunity

Looking for a meaningful way to make a difference for someone who is approaching end of life?

Become a Companion Volunteer and offer the one thing that matters most — your presence.

Whether it’s sharing stories, chatting about life, playing some music or sitting beside someone, your time can bring warmth, comfort and connection to someone who truly needs it. Sometimes, just being there is everything.

As a Companion Volunteer, you’ll provide emotional support and conversation, help people express what matters most to them, share helpful information. You may also support family members or carers, both before and after bereavement.

You’ll receive full training and ongoing support from the Marie Curie team, and you’ll be joining a community that cares as deeply as you do. They’ll never ask you to do anything you’re not comfortable with.
