Home-Start is a local community network of trained volunteers and expert support helping families with young children through their challenging times. They are there for parents when they need them the most because childhood can't wait. They support families in Glenrothes, Leslie, Markinch, Thornton, Coaltown & Milton of Balgonie and Kinglassie. Referred families are offered help through a home-visiting volunteer for as long as they feel they need help, which can be for a few weeks or up to a year or more. As well as offering home visiting, they also support parents and their children by running family groups during term time.
