Climate Friendly Garden

Service

Provided by Greener Kirkcaldy

Greener Kirkcaldy are creating a climate-friendly productive back garden at our community building at 8 East Fergus Place. The garden has an ecological focus. They are working to grow their own fruit, vegetables and herbs, as well as cut flowers. They also want to creatively recycle and repurpose items to use in the garden to save waste. Their gardeners will try out new ideas and methods to reduce the impact on the changing climate, for example by making their own peat-free compost. They are also gardening in a way that makes the space more resilient to storms and drought.
