Home-Start match trained volunteers with families for regular visits. Support is tailored to the needs of each individual family. Support can be provided in the family home, but a key role of volunteers can also be to encourage and accompany parents in accessing local services. All their volunteers are trained, managed and supervised by Home-Start Dunfermline staff. Volunteers are from all walks of life, each with parenting experience and a little free time available each week to help provide emotional and practical help to local families. Support is confidential, flexible and totally responsive to the family’s needs.
