    News/Events Category: FVA News

Fife Voluntary Action is delighted to announce that the flagship Awards Ceremony for volunteers, community groups and voluntary organisations is back. This year’s event will be held at The Old Course Hotel in St. Andrews on Wednesday 24 September.

We have a broad selection of categories and need you to nominate any volunteers or organisations that you think would deserve the glory of being crowned at our prestigious Awards Ceremony for the voluntary sector. The organisation categories are open to any project, group or organisation operating in the voluntary or statutory sectors.

This is your chance to recognise and reward the effort of volunteers, organisations and community groups which are serving the people and communities of Fife.

Every nominated volunteer will receive a certificate to highlight their outstanding work, however due to expected levels of demand there will be a shortlisting process. If your nomination has been shortlisted, you and the nominee(s) will be invited to the ceremony with all the other finalists, where a winner from each category will be announced. Click here to make nominations for our general awards.

    New Recognition Categories
As well as the volunteer and organisation categories, this year we are introducing long service recognition for those volunteers that have served your organisation for many years. This is your chance to say a special thanks to those that have been volunteering with you for 5 years or longer. Click to make a long service nomination.

We are also looking for those young volunteers signed up to the Saltire Awards scheme that have managed to achieve the 200 hour award and have gone above and beyond these hours. The Saltire Summit awards are given out to these exceptional young people, and if you’d like to nominate a young person for this please click here.

Neither of these new recognition categories (Saltire Summit and Long Service) will have winners, so every person nominated will receive their own recognition certificate.

Please note that we are only accepting electronic nominations to [email protected] by Friday 22nd August 2014 at 5pm.

If you have any queries with regards to the nomination process please call us on 08456 006 046.
