About this opportunity: | How would you like to make a difference to the lives of children and families in the Kirkcaldy area, supporting parents to give their children the best possible start in life? Many parents require support when their children are young. Home-Start Kirkcaldy helps families with young children through challenging times. As a family support home visiting volunteer you will be matched with a local family. You will visit the same family weekly week for 2-3 hours and the role could involve helping a family settle into a new area, going to appointments, helping with shopping but above all talking and listening. The volunteer will take the lead from the family, building relationships with the parents and children to increase their confidence.
