Unpaid carers in Fife can now apply for Time to Live funding online.

Time to Live funding, allocated in Fife by Fife Voluntary Action, helps you take a break from caring that is tailored to you. That might be an overnight stay, or something like a cinema pass, massages or crafting workshops. You can apply for up to £500, and most awards are between £300 and £400.

Applying online is the quickest way to apply. When you apply online:

  • your answers are saved as you go, and we e-mail you a link so you can come back and finish later
  • you can upload your quote or booking from your phone or computer
  • we contact your referee for you as soon as you submit
  • we e-mail you a copy of your application, and later our decision

Apply online for a Time to Live grant

You can still apply on paper if you prefer, but a paper application can take longer to decide.

Applications for 2026–27 are open until 25 February 2027, while funds last. You can receive one grant in any 12 months. If you'd like help planning your break before you apply, talk to your carer support worker or e-mail [email protected].
