Meet Kim: Helping Bring Footcare Fife Closer to Home

When Kim heard about Footcare Fife through the NHS Podiatry Team in High Valleyfield, she was inspired by the difference volunteers can make in their local communities – and decided she wanted to get involved.
With training and support from Fife Voluntary Action and our experienced volunteer team, Kim has now completed her training and joined the Footcare Fife family.
She is already helping to make a difference, volunteering at our new clinic at Rosyth Health Centre and helping bring footcare closer to home for people in the local community.
For Kim, volunteering is about much more than providing footcare. It is about helping people feel comfortable, confident and able to continue doing the things that matter to them.
Many Footcare Fife clients, like Mary from Rosyth, are no longer able to care for their feet themselves because of health conditions. Regular footcare can help people stay comfortable and mobile, while also providing an important opportunity for social contact and connection within their community.
Volunteers like Kim make this possible.

You don't need previous footcare experience to join our team. Full training, ongoing support and guidance are provided, so you'll have everything you need to get started.
