Fife Voluntary Action (FVA) is looking for a Development Officer to support in designing, delivering and coordinating a programme of co-production activity relevant to improving experiences and outcomes for employability clients in Fife. You will review and identify gaps in relation to the voice of Lived Experience in employability provision in Fife, and recruit and support volunteers to contribute to co-production projects. You will also provide relevant administrative support.

For this post, we understand Lived Experience to mean that an individual has some experience of barriers to employability and employment. These barriers may be structural, such as transport, housing, childcare or personal, for example, physical or mental health, disability, language or cultural issues. Whilst personal lived experience will be helpful, this is not essential.

    About you

FVA is looking for someone who has experience of working in the lived experience field and who has experience working with and supporting volunteers. You should have knowledge of the employability sector in Fife and have experience of organising events and training.

It’s essential that you are able to work well as part of a collaborative team and that you can lead projects, coordinating the work of all involved.

    Benefits

Benefits of working for FVA include:

    • 37 days’ annual leave (inclusive of public holidays) for full-time staff, pro rata for part-time staff
    • Free onsite parking in Glenrothes and Kirkcaldy
    • Confidential counselling helpline
    • Access to unlimited, free GP appointments 24/7 via remote technology

    How to apply

Visit Working with FVA where you will find the job description, person specification, and job application form. Click here for the application guidance document. Please complete the job application form and e-mail it to [email protected]

Interviews will be held weeks commencing 25 August and 01 September 2025.

The closing date for applications is Wednesday 20 August 2025.
