    Post: Capacity Building Officer (Social Enterprise)                                                           
    Contract: Funded to March 2027 in first instance
    Hours: 35 hours per week, but part-time hours may be considered. Working pattern can be flexible across the working week to meet the needs of the role
    Salary: £32,000 per annum plus Living Pension – 9% Employer, 3% Employee contribution
    Location: Glenrothes – with options to work regularly from other FVA locations

     

    Working within Fife Voluntary Action’s Capacity Building Team, you will drive the development of social enterprise organisations across Fife to help them become sustainable, grow and deliver impact.

    You will play a lead role in developing and delivering dedicated, tailored support to socially enterprising organisations to successfully navigate social business sustainability, asset management and procurement processes.

    The role will be instrumental in supporting Community Wealth Building in Fife; ensuring social enterprise activity plays a central role in economic regeneration, procurement and community-led development. This is a jointly funded post between Fife Voluntary Action and Fife Council Economic Development.

    About you

    FVA is looking for someone who has a background in supporting organisations and individuals to develop capacity, particularly in relation to business and financial planning. You will have an excellent understanding of the voluntary sector, and of the legal and policy landscape affecting the third sector.

    It’s essential that you have excellent interpersonal skills and are able to build and sustain positive relationships with a variety of stakeholders. You should be organised and efficient, with a personal commitment to equal opportunities.
