Location: New Volunteer House, 16 East Fergus Pl KirkcaldyExpress Group Fife is looking for three part-time Group Co-ordinators covering West, Central and East Fife.
Express Group Fife is a established Mental Health Charity and a Company Limited by Guarantee with a network of self-help groups throughout Fife. The aim of this service is to support people to pursue their chosen vocational, educational, occupational, social and recreational goals within their local communities. We are looking to recruit co-ordinators for East, Central and West Fife to cover groups in Inverkeithing, Dunfermline, Lochgelly, Glenrothes, Kirkcaldy, Cupar, St Andrews and planned in Levenmouth.
There are 4 elements to the Service:
- Working with groups of people around a shared activity.
- Open access drop-ins.
- Supporting service users in the development of individual support/recovery plans.
- Mental health promotion and community development work.
Job Purpose:
- To support the team in working effectively with individuals by supporting service users in a group setting and assisting in the management of individuals in achieving the goals set out in their IROC.
- To co-ordinate and manage day support groups. In consultation with the Manager and caseworker, be responsible for the management of groups. To co-ordinate, manage, monitor and review the development of the groups in order to make them interesting and relevant to the people who attend.
- Provide emotional and practical support to service users with high support needs. Appointments will be subject to successful applicants either currently being or becoming members of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups Scheme (PVG Scheme).
