Early Years and Children

  • The third sector and public sector in Fife have a history of working together to improve the outcomes of our young citizens and families. Our Voluntary Sector Childrens' Services Forum is very active and helps to co-ordinate partnership and third sector activity across Fife.

FVA's Chief Officer, Kenny Murphy, represents the Third Sector on the Children in Fife Group and the Fife Partnership. The Children in Fife Group binds Fife Council, the Third Sector, Police Scotland, Scottish Children's Reporter and NHS in common purpose. Strong partnership working has long been understood to be a key factor in ensuring we do the best for expectant and new mothers, early years, children, families and young people. There are dozens of organisations across Fife which contribute significantly to ensuring our children have the best possible start in life. Fife can demonstrate many successful partnerships which have been developed to support this work.

From this page you will be able to access information about public sector developments within community planning and the work of our Forum.
