In summer 2023, FVA received a grant from Dunfermline Area Committee to develop a Community Support Hub in the centre of Dunfermline. The Hub will be delivered in partnership with a wide range of local third sector organisations and public sector partners. This page will provide information and updates as the project develops.
The new City of Dunfermline Community Support Hub opened in February 2024.
Planning and architectural works began in June with final drawings being submitted to Building Control in late autumn.
Fit-out works began in November 2023, and it opened on 21 February 2024.
The project is being led and delivered by FVA, but in close partnership with CARF, Kingdom Community Bank, Fife Council and a wide range of third sector providers. The partners form a Steering Group to help guide the project and support the delivery and outcomes.
Membership of the Steering Group (and therefore the opportunity to make use of the new Hub) is open to any third sector organisation that delivers services in Fife and wants to support clients/service users in the Dunfermline and SW Fife area. A Memorandum of Understanding is being developed by FVA with the Steering Group, to set out the requirements and expectations of partners. Anybody looking to make use of the new Hub will need to agree to Memorandum of Understanding once it has been approved.
This page will be updated regularly to show the list of partners involved. Currently, the partners are:
If your service is interested in becoming a part of the Community Support Hub, please e-mail us and we'll add you to the list to receive updates and invitations to Steering Group meetings.
