  Fife Shopmobility are looking for a volunteer to assist from 9.00am until 12.00noon for one or more days per week, on a Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. The aim of Shopmobility is to lend, free of charge, manual and powered wheelchairs and scooters.

  Volunteers can assist Shopmobility in various aspects of the scheme, as determined by the Manager:-

  • To accompany Shopmobility customers whilst they are shopping, either by pushing a wheelchair or by escorting someone who has a visual impairment;
  • To assist the staff at the Shopmobility office in cleaning of the equipment and minor administration tasks including answering the phone;
  • Taking equipment to customers who arrive by car, taxi or bus;
  • To issue mobility equipment to customers and complete administration processes if required to do so;
  • To assist in the fund raising/promotion processes and activities;
  • To carry out other tasks connected with Shopmobility as mutually agreed between the volunteer and the Manager.
