  • Voluntary Health Scotland - Members' Meet Up

    Created: 4/17/2024

2024 is a year of celebration for Voluntary Health Scotland (VHS) as they mark 20 years of the charity. The theme of 2024 is “Vital Health Sector” as this captures the role that their members play in the health of people across Scotland. This is also an year of change and opportunity as they welcome new Chief Executive, Tejesh Mistry, to lead the organisation.

As well as an introduction to Tejesh, they want to offer a space to connect and share with other VHS members about the challenges they face together. VHS is keen to hear how organisations and their service users are working, what organisations are trying to achieve in 2024  and to help them understand what more they could do to help their members.

Over the last few years, many of our workloads focused on post pandemic mobilisation, recovery and renewal in relation to Scotland’s health and wellbeing. Now in 2024, what impact will the soaring costs, funding cuts, and cost of living crisis that we are all facing, have on this?

This discussion will help to build strong evidence and ideas from the third sector to help influence this policy making, as well as giving VHS members the opportunity for sharing and discussion with other voluntary health organisations.
