  • Generational Misunderstandings Webinar

    Created: 4/15/2024

Celebrating Global intergenerational Week 2024, join Generations Working Together for a session on Generational Misunderstandings, where they will discuss important and relevant misunderstandings that may occur between generations that will influence intergenerational work.

The session will begin with 3-4 ‘case studies’ of generational misunderstandings that have occurred (e.g., inadvertent racism and racial profiling, sexism) and a presentation of ongoing work to overcome the generational misunderstanding. Following the presentation of the case studies, they will invite others to discuss and ask questions in an open forum format, with the hope that all attendees will have benefitted from having a constructive and helpful discussion about misunderstandings that would be otherwise uncomfortable to discuss.

Facilitators: Dr Simone Tomaz, Postdoctural Research Fellow, University of Stirling, Alison Clyde, Chief Executive Officer, Generations Working Together – other speakers to be confirmed and will be announced in 2024.
