    About this opportunity:Chow and Chat is welcoming and sociable group, people who attend enjoy the relaxed atmosphere, lunch and different activities which are organised each week.

    They are looking for volunteers to assist in the running of the group. There are a range of volunteering activities to get involved with, including:

    · Setting up the hall for activities

    · Taking the register

    · Setting up teas/coffees

    · Engaging and building relationships with group members

    · Taking part in group activities

    · Preparing, making lunch and serving to members

    · Tidying kitchen and storing kitchen equipment in cupboards

    · Tidying away equipment in the main hall

    Volunteers will be supported in the role, offered the necessary training and given lots of other opportunities should you wish. Everyone is welcome and those that attend, volunteer and work there enjoy the relaxed and friendly atmosphere.

    Training provided:Once in post, volunteers will be given induction training, supported into the role and offered training and opportunities when needed or as they arise, including food hygeine. Volunteers will be supported by staff and volunteers throughout their role with annual one to one support and supervision annually or as requested.
    Out of pocket expenses paid?
    Yes - Travel expenses are reimbursed at public transport rates and 45p per mile.

    Experience required:Chow and Chat is a social gathering with a light lunch and cuppas for people to come along, make new friends and learn something new with the various activities we have on offer. It would be advantageous for volunteers to enjoy cooking and/or socialising and should have a can-do attitude, food hygiene training will be provided if needed.
