  About this opportunity:	As Treasurer of the St Andrews Pilgrim Foundation, you will have the opportunity to contribute to conservation and restoration work in the ancient ecclesiastical capital of Scotland, home of golf and host to Scotland's first university. This immensely rewarding activity will take place in the context of a friendly and supportive environment of a small team of enthusiastic and dedicated volunteer trustees. The principal functions of the role are as follows: to pay bills via cheque (two signatories are required on all transactions), to liaise with the chair and trustees as required, to maintain financial records (of income and expenditure and debits/credits to a bank account and building society account), to prepare quarterly reports for Trustee meetings, and to submit annual accounts to the independent examiner.

  Training provided:	The nature of the volunteer ré is such that a level of proficiency must be pre-existing. The treasurer will, however, receive information on what is required, organisational funding and finance, and historical reporting and record-keeping arrangements.
  Out of pocket expenses paid?	Yes - The volunteer will work in their own home or office and attend bimonthly board meetings. For required in-person activities, expenses can be discussed.
  Experience required:	Financial record-keeping skills, a positive, collegial personality suited to constructive teamwork, and a respect for history, heritage and conservation (detailed knowledge of these is not required).
