About this opportunity: | Ore Valley Housing Association was established in Cardenden in 1992 and now operates across central Fife providing nearly 800 homes and employs 22 staff members. They are looking for new Board members to help meet the challenges ahead. They will consider applications from anyone with an interest in their organisation. Although not essential, they are interested in meeting a broad spectrum of people including anyone with experience in - Human Resource, Equality and Diversity Issues, Housing, Asset Management, Finance, Law, Governance, Health and Social Care, Tenant/Lived experience. Of greatest importance is that you share their values and a commitment to supporting them deliver their strategic objectives. You will join an existing Board of committed and welcoming individuals; you will have access to training and development opportunities and can volunteer with fellow Board Members and staff to make a real difference within the communities with whom we work. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

Training provided: | Board members will receive a full induction process of their operations and activities including housing, sustainability, finance and corporate services. Out of pocket expenses paid? | Yes - They pay monthly to cover travel on a per mile basis at agreed rate. Other expenses such as taxis etc. would be covered as well. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Experience required: | Experience in the following areas would be welcome: Human Resource, Equality and Diversity Issues, Housing, Asset Management, Finance, Law, Governance, Health and Social Care or Tenant/Lived experience. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||

Travel Details | Meetings held monthly, in-person in Lochgelly and Cardenden at various Ore Valley offices. Virtual attendance of meetings is also available should this be preferred. Board members have the option of attending via either route. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
