    About this opportunity:Volunteer Befrienders are urgently required for the leading visual impairment charity in Fife. Seescape (Fife Society for the Blind) supports people living with visual impairments in Fife to enable them to live as independent a life as possible. This includes social support and connecting with their community. We are looking for volunteers who are people orientated, get a great deal of satisfaction with engaging with others and can provide a friendly listening ear as a Volunteer Befriender. The role is incredibly rewarding and makes a huge difference to a person living with visual impairment. All you need is an hour or so every week or so to call your match, who will be carefully chosen for you, to build a befriending relationship. The role involves telephone calls, visiting the befriendee and travel within Fife, to share a cuppa and a blether or take part in an activity, agreed in advance with Seescape. Full training and support is provided.

    Yes - All reasonable travel costs will be reimbursed on a monthly basis.
