About this opportunity:Do you want to make a real difference in your community? Do you care about safety, the coastline, and helping others?

Coastwatch West Fife is a volunteer-based coastal safety and monitoring organisation - their role is simple but vital: Spot, Plot, Report, Update. Technology cannot always detect a distress flare, an overturned boat, someone in difficulty in the water, navigational hazards, or vulnerable people needing assistance, but a volunteer can. As a volunteer, you will monitor coastal areas; conduct observation patrols along coastal paths; spot and report incidents, hazards, and concerns; communicate using radio systems; support emergency services through structured reporting and updates; provide first aid assistance; assist during severe weather events; and promote public safety awareness.
