About this opportunity:Dunfermline based Talk Matters offers counselling/ psychotherapy for up to 50 clients per week and placement opportunities for those training in the field.

Talk Matters is seeking volunteer trustees to join its board. Trustees contribute to the realisation of Talk Matters' goal of relieving people in need of psychological support by the provision of a financially accessible, professional counselling service.

The board is fully responsible for the governance and fiscal probity of the charity. Ten monthly meetings are held with an annual general meeting in November. Presently, the board comprises five trustees. The charity is held in high standing and trustees are rightly protective of its reputation.

There is an opportunity for you to use your skills in the areas of HR/IT/Finance or Law whilst other skills in administration and fundraising would be most welcome. It is not necessary that you have work/volunteering experience within the psychological therapy sector.
