    About this opportunity:Can you help build stronger social connections with a group of vulnerable adults who are experiencing social isolation and loneliness like never before? Crossroads need your help at their new Glenrothes Befriending Group, to enable people to improve their social interaction, confidence, health and wellbeing. You could help with making & serving refreshments, group activities and escorting people safely to the group. Volunteering with Crossroads is a very rewarding experience and brings about positive change for yourself and others. Your time can make a massive difference in someone's life - they will feel amazing and so will you! You can meet new friends, learn new skills and discover new talents, as well as boosting your education and employment prospects. Can you help transform lives simply by volunteering a couple of hours a week? If you're interested in people and are warm, considerate, honest and reliable, they want to hear from you

    Training provided:Topics covered - Organisation, Volunteer Role, Responsibilities, Boundaries and Endings, Adult Support & Protection, Positive Impact, Building a Relationship, Communication Skills There are also ongoing training opportunities.
    Out of pocket expenses paid?
    Yes - Volunteer out of pocket expenses paid monthly upon receipt of expenses claim. Car Mileage paid at 45p per mile, Public Transport (receipt required).

    Experience required:Excellent communicator, good listener, respectful, positive, honest, caring, compassionate and non-judgemental.
