About this opportunity:Call Companions is a telephone befriending service providing regular chats to older people, often living on their own and with little social interaction, launched in response to the Covid-19 crisis. As a call companion, you will make telephone calls to a lonely and isolated older person between two and four times per month (during your first call with the older person, you will decide together how often the calls will take place and at what time). These calls provide a lifeline of friendship for our older people, and the regular, warm, friendly chats and companionship provide a vital link with the outside world from which they have become isolated.

This is a fun and rewarding role which will enable you to connect with a lonely older person and make a real and lasting difference to their life.
This is a long-term voluntary role, so they are ideally looking for individuals who can commit to volunteering with us for at least 12 months.
