    About this opportunity:The SSPCA are looking for a number of committed, caring volunteers with a passion for wildlife to transport wildlife casualties between their Animal Rescue and Rehoming Centres (ARRCs). You will provide a safe and caring environment for the animals and maximise their comfort in the Satellite Wildlife Station.

    Duties will include safely and lawfully transporting the animals between ARRCs.

    You will attend to the welfare needs of the wildlife, including food preparation and diligently maintain and monitor animal records.

    To undertake this role, the SSPCA require you to have a full, clean UK driving licence. You're also required to have unrestricted access to a smart phone capable of downloading and running the app that the SSPCA will use to communicate with you.

    Training provided:Standard SSPCA induction, full training on driving and animal husbandry duties, with support from Chief Inspector and Senior Animal Rescue Officers.

    Experience required:The SSPCA are looking for people with practical experience of working with animals; an interest in wildlife and a relevant animal care qualification would be desirable but not essential. You must be reliable, committed and self-motivated as well as resilient and calm. An understanding of and commitment to health & safety in the workplace.
